Ankeny Genealogy Chapter: Genealogical Clues From Land Records

Land records comprise the oldest and most complete collection of records involving our ancestors. Deeds not only record a sale of land but can provide genealogical clues that will allow you to add to your family tree and shed light on the lives of your ancestors. Tonight’s presentation will cover analysis of deeds for such clues. In the event that your bucket list includes walking on the land of your ancestors, our speaker will also demonstrate use of internet sources to locate the place your ancestor lived.  

Each month features a program to help in your research. Members are always available to help people with their research questions and try to get them over their brick walls when they hit one. All are welcome. There is no fee to attend.
