Event Details

Join the Iowa Artist Organization as the library partners with them to host the Region 5 Annual Art Show. We invite members of the community to view the displayed artwork, vote for People’s Choice award, be eligible for door prizes, and attend art demonstrations. This is a drop-in style event, however you must be present to win the door prizes and will be an awards ceremony for the artists at 1:30, in which the public is also invited to attend.

Art Demonstrations throughout the day include:

  • 10 AM Delayne Segar will demonstrate the process of weaving Pine Needles to create works of art.   
  • 10:45 AM Deanna Skokan will demonstrate how to prepare and what to be aware of when painting on location. 
  • 1 PM Danna Fruetel will demonstrate the current trends, techniques and methods of creating Scratchboard art.
