Come to a fun and fact-filled program and learn about Ankeny’s founders. One hundred and fifty years ago the land under our homes, businesses and schools was only tall grass prairie. John Fletcher Ankeny and his family were adventurous entrepreneurs. Learn how they came to America, fought in the revolution and civil wars and built towns and businesses. You will be inspired by their stories of devotion to God, family and country. There will be some surprises that will amaze you!
The presenter is Karla Wright, a family historian, genealogist, and descendant of American Revolution Patriot DeWalt Ankeny.
